   Welcome to the official website of «Bandura. New message». It is a system of motivation and professional development of modern bandura players organized by the international charity fund "New message foundation".

   «Bandura. New message» is an online ranking which is based on the voting in Youtube and evaluation of the professional jury.

   Bandura, or kobza earlier, is an ancient instrument, first images of which were found in the 12th century, during the heyday of Kievan Rus. And Kievan Rus was the birthplace of modern Ukraine.

   Bandura belongs to the family of lute string instruments. In medieval Europe kobza was called "Cossack lute”.

   Тhe history of bandura is the history of Ukraine in the period after Kievan Rus. It wasn't always joyful. There were sad times as well. Unfortunately, they sometimes come back, but we know that this is for the last time.

   In the 20th century, girls started playing the bandura.

   Actually, the majority of modern bandura players are women. These are women who managed to keep this instrument up to these days.

   The traditions of Kievan Rus, the traditions of Ukraine are living, developing and filling up our hearts with light and joy.

   We offer you to listen to the songs on this page, to enjoy the music and to invite the best bandura players to your country so that your partners, clients and friends could get acquainted  with their work.
